APRIL 2010:

04/24 & 25, Sat. & Sun. - ArtWalk

ArtWalk presents the San Diego/Tijuana region's biggest art event for an audience of over 90,000. This free visual and performing art celebration is set along a scenic path through the charming neighborhood of Little Italy. It will be held on the side streets of India Street from Noon - 6:00p.m. both days. For more information visit, www.artwalksandiego.org


MAY 2010:

05/14, Fri. – Kettner Nights
Held from 6:00 to 9:00PM. In downtown San Diego’s Little Italy, the art has as much flavor as the espresso and pasta. The art and design district, modeled after New York City’s trendy SoHo and Chelsea districts, offers art-lovers and design patrons diverse resources. Come explore this ever-growing distinctive neighborhood with an art walk through the businesses and studios on Kettner Boulevard and beyond. 05/23, Sun. – 17th Annual Sicilian Festival

The streets of San Diego’s Little Italy will come alive with the music, dance, art and cuisine of Sicily on Sunday, May 23, 2010 in celebration of the 17th Annual Sicilian Festival, 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. The event is free and packed with fun for the whole family. The festival will feature a wide variety of Italian-themed entertainment, Sicilian food specialties, beer and wine tent, Sicilian cultural pavilion, and more! 05/26 – Taste of Little Italy

Come to hip and historic Little Italy, where traditional Italian restaurants rub shoulders with eclectic eateries. Taste of Little Italy gives you an opportunity to discover the palette of dining possibilities as you enjoy samples offered by Little Italy’s restaurants. Appetizers, desserts and specialty beverages will be offered as you stroll through the district’s tree-lined streets. This event goes from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. SEPTEMBER 2010:

09/04-09/06, Sat.-Mon. - Labor Day Weekend Stickball Tournament

Come and watch the streets of Little Italy come alive with the good ol' American (East Coast) past-time: STICKBALL. Every year local teams come together to play for the right to call themselves the king of the block. The champions! Come and enjoy the taunting, heckling and good ol' fun on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 6:00pm on Columbia Street, between Beech and Cedar Streets, and State Street, between Ash and Beech Streets. OCTOBER 2010:

10/03, Sun. - Our Lady of the Rosary Procession

Come watch parishioners of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Hall march from the Church, down India Street, to the San Diego Harbor with the statue of the Madonna hoisted on their shoulders. This event has been going on since the early 50's, when the parishioners would march down and bless the Tuna Boats. So join us in a small part of Little Italy history. 10/10, Sun. - 16th Annual Little Italy Festa

Little Italy Association is proud to make the Little Italy District come alive. Come and enjoy over 120 Italian Food & Crafter Booths, 2 stages of entertainment, Gesso Italiano (Italian Chalk): Little Italy's Chalk Painting Event, a Stickball Tournament and a Beer & Wine Garden. Load up the family, friends & pets and come to the Largest Italian Festival outside of New York City. This event is held on India Street between Ash and Grape Streets from 10:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. For more information, click here.

10/23, Sat. – The Bulls of St. Agata Charge Little Italy

The Little Italy Association, Symbolic Motors, Lamborghini San Diego, and the Lamborghini Club of San Diego are proud to present an event that draws over 40 of Italy’s finest machinery to the heart of San Diego’s Little Italy. Come down with you camera and snap shots of some of the most beautiful cars on the planet from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on Date Street between India and Columbia Streets.

10/29, Fri. – Trick-or-Treat on India Street

Bring the Little Ghouls and Goblins down to San Diego’s Little Italy for a family-fun and safe trick-or-treating experience. Pick-up you map of participating businesses at the Piazza Basilone (India & Fir Streets) and have you bags filled with candy. Be sure to be back at 7:00pm for the Costume Parade; that will be held in the Piazza Basilone. No prizes will be given…all of our Little Italy Ghouls and Goblins are winners! See you there.


NOVEMBER 2010:

11/02, Tues. - Little Italy Board of Directors' Meeting

The Little Italy Association Board of Directors’ Meetings are open to the general public to discuss the Little Italy Association's general business, upcoming events and issues. DECEMBER 2010:

12/04, Sat. - 11th Annual Little Italy Tree Lighting & Christmas Village

The Little Italy Association is proud to present the kick-off to its annual holiday shopping, dining and pampering season with the 11th Annual Little Italy Tree Lighting & Christmas Village held at the Piazza Natale on the corner of India & Date Streets from 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Come one and all; family, friends and pets are welcome. Also we are expecting a surprise guest to add that additional holiday cheer; along with the music, Italian cookies, cider and coffee we will be provided. Don’t forget there will be vendors selling holiday gifts to get the season started off right.
